HOW TO WEAR: DOs & Don’ts For Jumpsuits

Hey Fashion Barbies, the last time I blogged about jumpsuits I was asking which suits you best: Jumpsuits or Playsuits? Well that’s hardly the case now because jumpsuits are trending! The fashion pack Marc by Marc Jacobs, Carlos Miele, Michael Kors and countless other Designers made a point to feature them in their Fall 2011 catwalk shows. Sported by numerous celebrities, I thought it wise to share my style tips for rocking a jumpsuit in the form of DO’s and DON’Ts!

DO go for a plunging neckline à la Kourtney Kardashian for an effortless sex appeal. Bronzer should be nearby.
DO offset a one toned jumpsuit with a bright pair of heels for an instant shot of colour! Colour-block where you can.
DON’T overdo your accessories! Stick with a statement necklace and cocktail ring. Steer clear of the Jennifer Lopez look!

DO keep it tribal with clashing prints like Gwen Stefani but DON’T take tribal to the extreme. Hilary Duff scores low fashion points for over-the-top fabric!

DON’T wear pointed footwear with your jumpsuit. Stick with courts or peep toes which will elongate your legs in the style of Elle Macpherson!
DO cinch at the waist for an hour glass illusion. Works like magic!

DON’T wear a jumpsuit that is too long or too short as the case may be. Your hemline should be the right length for you. Seems to work for the Kardashian sisters. Audrina take note. (Yes, the little things matter)
DO wear flats! Tap into comfort dressing and rock your jumpsuit with sandals, perfect for day time.
