Fashion Show 2012
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago presents their annual fashion show, today at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Hosted in Millennium Park, this year’s fashion show will be the largest ever in its 78-year history. The show will feature more than 300 garments from SAIC’s Fashion Design BFA candidates showcased by more than 70 professional models from Factor Runway.

SAIC Fashion Show 2011

Seniors from SAIC’s acclaimed fashion department will showcase complete collections of five garments. With more than 40 seniors presenting, these elaborate creations come from the largest graduating class in SAIC history. Juniors will show three designs and sophomores will present one design in white and silver.
This year, the runway show will sparkle as a selection of students use Swarvoski crystals in their designs. Art enthusiasts and fashionistas from across the country are sure to enjoy this dazzling runway show of cutting-edge creations from the next generation of designers.

THE WALK 2012
Following the runway show, SAIC will host their annual benefit gala supporting student scholarships. THE WALK 2012 begins at 5:30 p.m. with a VIP reception, followed by a cocktail welcome at 6 p.m., the complete runway show at 7 p.m. and an elegant dinner on the rooftop terrace at 8 p.m.
